LOGAN — A 41-year-old Hyrum man convicted of secretly putting meth into his girlfriend’s drink last year, has avoided any more jail time. Instead, Alax J. Curzon was ordered to four months of home confinement after telling the court he wanted to get his life going.

Curzon was sentenced during a virtual hearing in 1st District Court Wednesday morning, appearing by web conference. He previously accepted a plea deal, pleading “no contest” to surreptitious administering of a certain substance, a third-degree felony; and possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.
