The business started inside Wired, a music venue in Downtown Evansville, but it later moved to 2025 W. Franklin St.
Owner David Rudibaugh said in a Facebook video that “overwhelming increases” in operating costs forced the closure. The shop’s last day is Feb. 5.
“It breaks our hearts,” said Rudibaugh, who runs White Swan with his wife, Kendra.
Rudibaugh didn’t rule out continuing the business at a new location at another time. “We believe this isn’t the end for White Swan, but it’s the end as it is,” he said.
