BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD)- The Reve coffee shop is reopening on Perkins Road after being shutdown for ten months. Prior to the pandemic Reve was located at the White Star Market which closed down last year.
General manager Cale Guidry says opening weekend was a hit thanks to his viral tweet.
The tweet was shared locally and even reach nationally.
Guidy is grateful for social media to bring life back to his shop that was once lost to the pandemic.
“I wasn’t expecting it to blow up as much as it did,” Guidry said. “In the last two days, I’ve had like 14 to 15 resumes sent to me. A lot of people are asking to work here in the replies of the tweet.”
The shop reached customers from New Orleans and some even travelling from Mississippi.
“One person in particular said this was like the coffee shop Baton Rouge always needed and that was one of the highest praises we could of gotten,” Guidry said.
