After an extensive renovation process which took up the better part of the year, French Creek Coffee and Tea Co. opened the doors at its new location last Monday. And according to co-owners Michael and Tonya Reed, it’s been a very busy first week.
“It seemed like every day we sold more,” Tonya said. “We sold so many beans and we were just selling out of things left and right.”
Formerly known under the names Tarot Beans Roasting Co. and Drogo N’ Tuck Artisan Café, French Creek Coffee and Tea Co.’s move isn’t a very far one, but has proved significant for the business. The café moved up from 252 Chestnut St. to 285 Chestnut St., better known as the former Jack’s Pharmacy.
The change, according to Tonya, has helped increase visibility of the coffee shop and drawn in customers who didn’t normally visit.
