Starbucks is catching the oat milk wave, but only testing the popular alternative milk in its coffee shops in Midwest markets. That’s a bummer for Texans, who are big fans of oat milk, as we reported last year. Even baristas love it because it foams and froths much like real cow’s milk.

But Texans can get a few new lattes with plant-based milk alternatives that Starbucks is adding to its permanent menu: the Coconut Milk Latte and the Almond Milk Honey Flat White.

The new flat white drink is made with real honey and blonde espresso, which the company says complements the nutty almond flavor of the almond milk. The coconut latte is also made with blonde espresso and a touch of cascara sugar on top.

Starbucks launched its first dairy alternative ― soy milk ― in 2004, and added coconut milk in 2015 and almond milk in 2016.
