STAMFORD — At the end of the day, it’ll still be a coffee shop.

Roost Kitchen and Coffee at Urby, an upscale downtown Stamford apartment building, announced on Instagram last Saturday that it was pulling out of its Urby site as of May 23.

About the same time, Urby building management posted a notice outside the complex that “Roost Café is transitioning out” — to be replaced by Turning Point Coffee Roaster.

“They are set to open within the next week or so pending all goes well with preparing,” Stamford Urby general manager Casey Craig said last week in an email to The Stamford Advocate.

Roost opened at Urby in 2019, just as the company began leasing apartments. In-building cafés that are also open to the public are signature among Urby’s five completed locations, which are scattered across the Tri-State area.
