Ramble of the Day
Maybe it’s an obvious thing to say, but Pep Guardiola hates Manchester United. He hates the club so much that he’d rather … well, I’ll just let Guardiola tell you.
Guardiola didn’t mince words, but again, who would when discussing his hate for a rival? I sympathize: I’d rather in a tropical paradise than be with a rival team. I’d also rather be eating my favorite meal, living rent-free in a place designed specifically to my wants and needs, and sit in a players’ box at a tennis grand slam than associate with the rival.
All tough things, but the price is worth it. Rivalries exist for a reason, though, and they must be preserved. Suffering on the part of one person, be it me or Guardiola, is ultimately nothing when it comes to treating an enemy appropriately.
