MIRAMAR BEACH — South Walton Fire District crews responded to a fire at 2 Birds Coffee and Café on Tuesday evening.

Firefighters were called to the restaurant on Seascape Drive about 6:30 p.m., according to a SWFD news release.

The call originally came into the Emergency Communications Center as “alarms,” meaning an alarm in the building had been activated. When firefighters arrived, they reported light smoke outside the building.

South Walton Fire District crews responded to a fire at 2 Birds Coffee and Cafe in Miramar Beach on Tuesday evening. The SWFD Fire Marshal determined the fire started in the kitchen and was accidental.

Upon further investigation and after speaking with neighboring businesses, firefighters determined there was a fire in the restaurant, according to the SWFD.

Firefighters entered, stretched a hose line and had the blaze out by 6:44 p.m. 

No injuries were reported, according to the SWFD.
