Opening a new business these days might seem downright daunting, but Sherri Peterson believes she’s applying a recipe to thrive. It features doses of art, animals, community spirit, humor and more, along with satisfying our taste buds. 

“We have a pretty tense environment these days,” said the owner of Penny’s Coffee Bar which opened downtown Cape Coral in September. “Here, people can start their day or take a break later in a great way. It’s a fun place.”
