The veteran-founded java business co-headquartered in the Alamo City plans to build the new store near the IKEA on Interstate 35 in the northeast area of Bexar County, according to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Construction on the new 2,418-square-foot store is expected to start in October and be completed by early 2023, filings show. 

A spokeswoman declined to give details about the new store because its design is in the early stages of development. 

The company’s first San Antonio store is on Bitters Road on the North Side. There are also plans to open a location on Bulverde Road. The company intends to add seven coffee shops in San Antonio as part of a national expansion funded by a $225 million public stock offering announced last year.
