Visakhapatnam: The ‘coffee with corporators’ programme would lead to a holistic development of all zones of the city, said GVMC mayor G Hari Venkata Kumari. The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation launched the ‘coffee with corporators’ programme on Wednesday.
The first meeting was conducted with the corporators belonging to Zone-I and Zone-II of the city at the HPCL Skill Development Centre in Arilova. The programme is aimed at interacting with the corporators at zonal level and addressing the issues raised by the corporators during the meetings. Speaking on this occasion, the mayor explained the objectives of the programme and how it can bring the ward-wise issues to the fore.
GVMC commissioner G Lakshmisha said the platform would lead to a comprehensive discussion as the time would not be sufficient during the council meetings for the corporators to speak on the issues and developmental concerns in their respective wards. “The suggestions, complaints and issues…
