For most people coffee is an affordable luxury, but on National Coffee Day you can get it a little cheaper than usual at some shops.

Dunkin’: This chain, internationally known for its coffee even though Donuts used to be part of its company name, wants to own the holiday by calling it National Dunkin’ Day. Krispy Kreme: Rewards members can get both a free brewed coffee and doughnut on Tuesday at participating shops, according to a news release. krispykreme.com
Peet’s Coffee: The chain is offering 25% off coffee beans through Tuesday with the promo code COFFEEDAY20. peets.com
Starbucks: Members who use the chain’s app on Tuesday to order a beverage sized grande or larger will get a free drink sent to their accounts for their next visit. It’s part of a promotion called Star Days that runs through Oct. 2 and includes the launch of a month-long contest called Starland. Stars are the rewards that members accumulate to get free food and drinks.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: The Los Angeles-based company is offering 25% off web purchases of coffee beans, capsules and K-cups, and coffee-making machines through Sept. 30 with the code COFFEEDAY. coffeebean.com
