MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Parks System faces serious financial challenges, especially because of the pandemic.
Now you can help, just by buying some coffee.
"We're trying to get the word out there that we need your help," said Guy Smith, Milwaukee County Parks executive director. "And Stone Creek is one of those great partners that has really stepped up."
Stone Creek Coffee Roasters has created what they call the Love Your Parks coffee roast.
From now until Aug. 26, if you buy a bag of the blend at Stone Creek, $2 from your purchase will go to the Parks Foundation.
They say the Love Your Parks roast is made to drink outdoors.
"It's a coffee you can drink everyday and enjoy and let it fuel both your relationships and then what you're doing -- whether that's sports, whether that's exercise, whether it's just time with family and friends," said Drew Pond of Stone Creek Coffee.
Milwaukee County leaders say the parks are underfunded and struggling.
Thursday's announcement is part of the Love Your Parks campaign, an effort to increase appreciation and funding for the parks.
