ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Coffee County Clerk Amy Reeves collected a sizeable number of absentee ballots returned by mail or dropped off.
Absentee manager Linda Mills has held the job for the last 18-years, but she’s never seen anything like this presidential election.
Normally, she would send out about a thousand absentee ballots.
This time, just under 2,400 voters requested them.
The deadline for the absentee ballot to be returned to be counted is the end of the business day on Monday.
“Absentee poll workers will come, and they can start at 7 o’clock and open all of the ballots and get everything ready and run them through the machines at that time,” Reeves said.
