COFFEE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office has charged two Clio residents in the fire that destroyed Car City Auto Sales, according to court records.

Documents state that Dezarae Wiggins, 31, and Charles Jones, 45, were both involved in the arson while they stole several vehicles from the business. Among the vehicles mentioned in the court records are a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2002 Ford Sport Trac.

The Coffee County Sheriffs Office will hold a press conference Thursday on the matter.

As of this report, both suspects are in the Coffee County Jail.

Jones has a total of $120,000 in bonds for two counts of second-degree arson and first-degree theft of property. Wiggins has $90,000’s worth in bonds for two counts of second-degree arson and one count of first-degree theft of property.
